Emery C. LOWE, 74, a resident of Crawfordsville and vicinity  most of his life, died at Culver Monday at 2:30 p.m. He had been  in failing health for some time but had been a patient at the  hospital one day. He was employed at the Crawfordsville Casket  Co. for 25 years, but had been employed at Culver Hospital for  the past 9 years. Born in the Roberts Chapel neighborhood  Montgomery Co Jan 18, 1880, the son of Alfred & Alice JACKSON  Lowe. He married Ida MARCUM Feb 14, 1901 who survives. Survivors  besides his widow are four sons: Alfred B. and Robert L. of  Crawfordsville; Walter E. of Lafayette; and Ora E. of Darion,  Conn; 3 daughters, Miss Thelma M. at home; Mrs. George Weliver  and Mrs. Morris Beachboth of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs.  Sherman Elmore of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Bert of Lindsal,  California and Lon of Stratford, Del ? and 12 grandchildren. He  was preceded in death by two sons and a daughter and a brother.  Funeral was held Thursday afternoon in charge of Rev. Paul E.  Million, pastor of the First Christian Church of which Mr. Lowe  was a member. Mr. Lowe was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Theron Banta  of Waveland, having married her oldest living sister. - typed by kbz
